I started accepting commissions recently and wanted to see what is the shortest time in which I can draw a recognisable portrait. I used a picture of Kristen Stewart that I still had in my reference folder and spent two hours on this. I know the hair is anything but detailed but I wanted to keep this as simple as possible while still decent-looking.
I used Lukas Drawing & Painting Paper No. 4 and remembered that I didn't like the structure it has. But the graphite smears really nicely on this paper which is quite helpful if you want to shadow large areas quickly. I used mainly a 2B pencil and later a 7B because I was lazy and wanted to finish the hair quickly. As I mentioned earlier this took me two hours and I'm quite happy with the result. I think there's something wrong with her nose and chin though
