Artist's Comments

This is my entry for the Kick Your Own @ss Contest in the traditional Art category.

The new one was submitted today (just in time ^^; ) and can be found here: [link]

Both were done in pencil by me and that's pretty much where the similarities stop :D
I didn't spend more than 30 minutes on the old version but was happy with it back then. Apparently I had no knowledge at all about shading, details, proportions and lighting. I've improved on so many levels - which is not hard considering the older image - but I've also tried to put all my new learned skills and knowledge into the new version. Maybe I'll look back at it one day and laugh at what I consider good right now :D

Absolutely gorgeous, really stunning development, you may wish to change the category you've submitted the deviation in though. You should be able to find the correct category in Contests>2009>Kick Your Own Ass ;)
